Michaela Antalová & Adrian Myhr

Slovakia / Norway
19. 9. 2026 (Saturday)

Michaela Antalová is a Slovak musician and composer who has been based in Norway for many years. Although her original instrument is drums and percussion, and her main project is the experimental jazz ensemble Mikoo, her discography also includes a wide range of musical explorations and side projects.

Among the most notable are her duo recordings with bassist and life partner Adrian Myhr, inspired by nature and traditional music from both Slovakia and Norway. On the albums Zvony (2021) and Sing Nightingale (2024), ambient recordings of insects and birds intertwine with folk songs, fujara flute, and the Norwegian seljefløyte, whose sound is reminiscent of the Slovak koncovka flute.

Although guests from the second album—such as performers on Hardanger fiddle and santur—will not be present at the concert, Michaela Antalová and Adrian Myhr are sure to carry the music’s sonic magic onto the stage, inviting the audience into their dreamlike sound world.
