Ethérea is a young Bulgarian band formed as recently as 2025. Their music can best be described as psychedelic folk, though it also incorporates strong elements of rock, jazz, and electronic music.

At the heart of their repertoire are lesser-known Bulgarian folk songs, which the band reimagines through its own distinctive musical language. Alongside electric guitar, bass guitar, and drums, audiences are captivated by the ethereal voice of the lead singer, whose performance draws on the characteristic techniques of Bulgarian folk singing.

Despite their folkloric roots and a subtle retro atmosphere reminiscent of the era when jazz-rock flourished, Ethérea’s music feels fresh, contemporary, and forward-looking. The band’s live performances are equally compelling from a visual perspective, incorporating performative elements that transform each concert into a unique ritualistic experience.

So far, Ethérea has released two official singles and is currently working on its debut album.
