ARSEN PETROSYAN TRIO
Armenia
18. 9. 2026 (Friday)
Arsen Petrosyan is a master of the duduk, the traditional Armenian woodwind instrument popularized in Europe at the end of the 20th century by his compatriot, Djivan Gasparyan. A graduate of the Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan, Petrosyan is currently a soloist with the Armenian State Ensemble of Traditional Music.
He is also active as a recording artist for film soundtracks, and his duduk solos can be heard in the Dune film trilogy, featuring music composed by Hans Zimmer. Alongside his work in film music, he leads several of his own projects, including the Arsen Petrosyan Trio.
The trio’s second member is Astghik Snetsunts, a kanun player who has also collaborated with the renowned Gurdjieff Ensemble. The third member is César Veas, a musician from Chile who studied the duduk in Armenia under the guidance of Arsen Petrosyan himself.
Joining the trio as a special guest will be Armenian pianist, composer, and singer Karin Sarkisjan, who has been living in Slovakia for more than 30 years.
